This stunning Pyrmont apartment refurbishment by bokor architecture and interiors belies its humble beginnings as Sydney’s first wool store in Pyrmont in 1882 which was later converted into a car park in the late 1980s before finally transforming into residential apartments by the end of 2005.

Creating this amazing space involved amalgamating two existing loft-style apartments into one; with a new kitchen, bathrooms and bedrooms.

The previous layout of the apartments devalued the use of natural sunlight and space; it was therefore decided to completely strip out the existing partitions and tenancy wall, and to expose the existing structural elements to allow for maximum natural light and space.

These accentuated raw elements contrast effectively with the accuracy of the simple cabinetry- using dark timber veneer panels, a Caesarstone® Pure White kitchen bench top and elegant joinery items. The new minimalist interior allows the owners to furnish spaces and adopt them to various uses.
